The sleeping area of the house is on the middle level and is comprized of a master bedroom looking out through a row of dormer windows to the sea and a loft at the back of the room. It has a double matress on the loft floor and a railing all around. A screen made of bamboo matting which Jackie from Zimbabwe, bordered with exotic material for binding and hung on a bamboo frame provides privacy for the master bedroom. A wildly painted wardrobe (another example of Ziad's wizardry with a paintbrush) below the loft gives a perfect accent and is useful as storage space

Above: Open windows and fans belay the need for A/C in the master bedroom. Mosquito netting is more decorative than necessary Left: The stair to the loft is fun for the children. They can slide down on the native rock. |
||
The loft is at the head of the stairs coming up from the entry level. Notice the pink and green wardrobe on the right. |
