Great Huts Bedouin Tents

Cherry Goat Tent

Although they are made of waterproof canvas and not smelly goat skins, the look and feel of a stay in the Bedouin Tents transports you to the sands of northern Africa.

The exteriors are painted in authentic African designs. The interiors are hung with exotic and colourful material which delight the eye and make one feel they are in a mini palace. Even the sand on the floor does not stick to your feet. It is really calcium chloride.....You can pretend it is Saharan sand beneath your feet, but it won't stick to you when you climb into bed.

Kingsley, the resident artist, who is responsible for all of the painted designs around the village is currently working on murals in the (soon to be completed) computer center. He is an artist of stature in the Jamaican community and has works hanging in the National Gallery. It is an honour to have him putting so much into making the Great Huts a work of art in their own right.
