Culloden Cafe Cottage |

Henry Morgan, gathered together all the pirates of the Caribbean in this bay in 1668 to go and sack Panama. He devastated the Spanish Treasury. It's a lot quieter nowadays, but still just as charming. Culloden is a part of the village of Whitehouse on the south coast of Jamaica. Culloden Cafe Cottage is centered on a lovingly landscaped 3+ acres of seaside property. For those who have a passion for growing things, this is the setting for you. Every variety of tropical verdure is in evidence. For birders it is also a paradise. Hummingbirds, a wide range of sea birds, parrots, etc. can all be viewed at the right times of day. For fishermen, you can fish right off the shore, or go with a local fisherman in his 'canoe' for kingfish, dolphin, wahoo, jack and other tasty fish. The staff will cook and clean for you and generally show you the runnings of the neighbourhood. Laze around in a hammock on your veranda and appreciate the beauty of the orchard-like setting. Return to 'reality' with memories you will treasure forever.
Rates: $1500 per week for up to six persons |
